We are a non-profit organization dedicated to integrate the work of the artists we collaborate with, and the philanthropic causes that they promote; as well as to raise funds through the selling of art related goods and products, in order to benefit causes that we feel strongly about:
Local level: we care for the homeless in our city, and we decided to channel our efforts donating 20% of the funds we raise in 2017, through "Houston Coalition for the Homeless" (homelesshouston.org)
nlaad.org), and work with the Latino Commission on AIDS (latinoaids.org)and to the Broadway Cares/Equity Fight AIDS (broadwaycares.org)National level: we care for the HIV/AIDS fight, that's why we will donate to the National Latinx AIDS Awareness Day (
International level: we care for the humanitarian crisis happening in Venezuela, and we decided to channel this help through the "Hermanitas de los Pobres de Maiquetía" (a congregation of nuns dedicated to assist the elderly, and the poor) We will donate 20% of the funds, and organize a food drive of non-perishables to be send to them.
Who we are
Board of directors
Libia Valdés Gregg
Born in Caracas, Venezuela, in 1963. Libia is bilingual in Spanish and English, and proficient in French and Italian. Her life has been marked by travels to many countries and exposure to different cultures, which she credits as an important factor in her love of the arts, and her openness and sensibility to people and their viewpoints.
Educated in Caracas both as an Actor, and as a Social Communicator, a common thread throughout her career has been to seek points of encounter for her passion for the arts, and her willingness to help funding and promoting them.
She moved to the United States of America in 2001. Since then she has been involved as a volunteer in different local organizations, and in the arts department of the school district.
In 2016 she decided to start this long standing dream of a non-profit organization that, once more, fuses her passion with the day to day realities of the world. That is how Philanthrartist was born!
"I'm sure that there are lots of artists that are philanthropists like me, and that working together we can make the world a better place" - says Libia
Libia is married to Andrew Gregg, and they have five children altogether: David, Tricia, Gustavo, Andrew and Victoria
